ABA Therapy

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is based on scientific principles of learning. ABA Therapy looks to increase useful behaviours and skills and while reducing and replacing maladaptive skills. This is done by focusing on the context in which the behaviours occur and taking a function-based approach. ABA can be used at home, school and in the community and can be applied to individuals of any age.

What skills can ABA target?

ABA can target any skill that an individual may need to function effectively in their environment. Some key areas include:

  • Communication

  • Behaviour Management

  • Social Skills

  • Daily Living Skills

  • Self Regulation

  • Academic Skills

  • Getting Started

    1. Consultation

The process starts with a free 30-minute consultation and a tour of our facility. During this time, the family will get a chance to sit down with the clinical team and discuss their goals. The clinical team would determine how the ABA team at Oakridge would be able to help meet their goals.

    2. Registration Forms

As next steps, the registration forms will be sent to be signed and onboarding information will be shared with the family

    3. Sessions Start

Sessions will begin and the assessment will be completed within the sessions!
