FAQS

DO YOU OFFER CONSULTATIONS?

Yes! The first step of the onboarding process is to book a free consultation with families. During the consultation we discuss your child's strengths and areas of need and get a sense of your goals. This is also where we go over the structure of our what a typical ABA session would look like, an overview of the team, and provide a rundown other centre policies.

WHAT SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY INITIAL CONSULTATION?

Once we book you in for a consultation, our team will send you an information package. The information package contains information on the field of ABA, the team structure at Oakridge, and services and prices. Taking a look through the information package before you come in is suggested as it often leads to other inquiries you may have. Another tip is to come with a plan! This includes setting goals you wish to achieve through ABA and creating a mental list of your top three priorities for your child.

HOW SOON CAN WE BEGIN SERVICES?

Once you come in for a consult, we often ask families to take some time to consider if ABA is the right fit and give us a call if they are interested in starting. A start date depends of several factors, most importantly the timing of the sessions requested. As some days and times are busier than others, some families may be put on a waitlist.

DO YOU COLLABORATE WITH OTHER PROFESSIONAL MY CHILD SEES?

Yes of course! Although ABA is comprehensive in its domains, we love collaborating with other professionals to ensure that the client's goals and expectations are consistent across all their settings. Our team often attends school and day care meetings and collaborate with Speech Therapists and Occupational Therapists.
