Programs at the centre
Most children start with one-on-one therapy and parent training, then add a group when they’re ready. We’ll suggest a starting point at your free visit.

1:1 ABA therapy
Your child and one therapist, working on goals you chose together: communication, play, routines, toileting, getting ready for school.

Social skills groups
Small groups where kids practise the hard parts of friendship: joining a game, taking turns, coping when they lose.

Parent training
Sessions with a Registered Behaviour Analyst that give you strategies for mornings, bedtime, outings and the moments that feel hardest.

Respite care
A planned break for you while your child spends time at the centre with staff trained in ABA.
What you can expect from us

A Registered Behaviour Analyst on every program
Since July 2024, behaviour analysts in Ontario must be registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. An RBA assesses your child, writes the plan and supervises the therapists who carry it out.

You see the numbers
Therapists record data in every session. We go through it with you, so you know what is changing, what isn’t, and what we’re adjusting.

Saturdays, too
Sessions run Monday to Friday 9 to 6 and Saturday 9 to 3, so therapy doesn’t have to compete with school and work.

OAP, SSAH, insurance claims, tax credits: we’ll tell you what applies to your family and give you the documents you need.

An RBA gets to know your child and writes a plan with goals you agree on before therapy starts.

Paying for therapy
Our ABA services are eligible for Ontario Autism Program funding. Many families also use workplace benefits, Special Services at Home or the Disability Tax Credit, sometimes all at once.

Where can I find ABA therapy in Brampton?
Oakridge Children Services offers ABA therapy at 101 West Drive in Brampton, just south of Queen Street East. Programs include 1:1 ABA therapy, social skills groups, parent training and respite care, all supervised by Registered Behaviour Analysts and eligible for Ontario Autism Program funding. We’re open Monday to Friday 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 3 PM. Call (905) 451-3556 to book a free visit.
Is the first visit really free?
Yes. New families get a free 30-minute visit and tour of the centre, with no obligation. We reply to every request within 24 hours.
Do I need a referral or a diagnosis to start?
No referral is needed to book a free visit. Our programs support children with and without an autism diagnosis. A written autism diagnosis is needed to register for Ontario Autism Program funding, so if you have concerns, it helps to start the assessment process early.
Does your team speak Punjabi, Hindi or Urdu?
Yes. Our team speaks Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu and English. Tell us your preferred language when you book a free visit or call (905) 451-3556, and we’ll do our best to match you with a team member who speaks it.
